Architectural Services

The architectural department at Daniells Harrison Chartered Surveyors provides a full design service for an extensive range of building projects. We undertake work on a variety of buildings including: residential, commercial and industrial, leisure, educational, health and listed buildings. DHCS provides a comprehensive range of services extending from initial feasibility studies, statutory approvals through to completion of building works on site.

Our architectural department will undertake new building projects, conversions or extensions on small or large scale properties.

Using contemporary CAD technology our architectural department is dedicated to providing a fast and efficient service. We can produce presentation drawings to enable visualisation of a proposed development, drawings appropriate to Planning and Building Regulation submissions and the necessary technical content to enable construction on site.

We pledge to provide a skilled and proficient service through the planning determination process and for building regulation applications. Our service includes planning consultancy, support with development proposals and planning appeals. Established relationships with Local Authorities underpin our advisory service on all aspects of planning legislation and current building regulation requirements.

Design

We provide a comprehensive design service for a range of projects from conversion schemes to new build developments.

We endeavor to realise the Clients’ visions through an appraisal of the project and to graphically represent the ideas for approval.
Our department will advise on the practicalities and scope of the design ensuring these meet with statutory regulations.

Feasibility Studies

We undertake initial feasibility studies for sites and buildings to demonstrate potential development opportunities and highlight design issues and planning and building constraints that might affect the proposals. We also provide comprehensive reports on the feasibility of proposals to enable our clients’ choice and commercial viability.

Planning Applications and Planning Appeals

Our dedicated team will guide you through the complex process of planning applications. We undertake all aspects of planning consultancy from initial investigations with the planning department to submission of planning application to the local authority. If a client has previously been refused planning permission our department can facilitate planning appeals. Building Regulations

All of our design work is focused to achieve compliance with current building regulations and energy reduction standards. We prepare detailed drawings to demonstrate the necessary information to comply with the current regulations.

We offer an extensive service that includes submission of building regulation applications for approval to negotiation with building inspectors on site to ensure an efficient and effective building process.

Drawing Office

We provide a comprehensive drawing office service. This includes full measured surveys of land and buildings and preparation of survey drawings. We appreciate the need for accurate and precise drawings to convey the nature of building projects and development schemes.

Land Registry

To ensure your projects meet the necessary legal requirements we prepare plans for land registry and conveyance plans for legal requirements. We also provide lease plans and layouts for license applications for all types of building uses.
