Energy Performance Certificates (EPCs)

We are pleased to be able to provide a full range of Energy Performance Certificates. Our Energy Assessor is John Leal MRICS, who qualified as a Domestic Energy Assessor in 2007, and a Commercial Energy Assessor in December 2008.

Residential Energy Performance Certificates

John Leal has the experience and training to provide energy assessments on a wide range of residential properties including period and listed buildings, barn conversions and flats. His experience extends across every type and size of residential property, offering professional advice on the legal requirements for any building.

It is a legal requirement for most residential property to be marketed for sale or let with an EPC.

We also understand that owning and running a property can be expensive. Recommendations contained within the EPC can help home owners to make improvements to their energy efficiency, which can mean significantly reduced household bills. Improving the energy performance of a property with a low rating can also assist with its marketing, particularly in the current difficult residential market.

Commercial Energy Performance Certificates

Our Energy Assessor, John Leal MRICS is accredited to carry out commercial EPCs. He has undertaken energy assessments on a wide range of buildings including hotels, large industrial units, shops and offices.

Anyone wishing to sell or let a commercial property will soon be required to produce an Energy Performance Certificate which shows the energy efficiency of the building. This includes an evaluation of the buildings carbon dioxide emissions. Any property owner found without an Energy Performance Certificate from that date will face fines of up to £5,000.

We are able to provide an EPC for most types and sizes of commercial properties.
